Artistic Bio:
Wayne Stephenson & Wanda Kay have been painting signs, windows & walls for over 25 years in KY, IN, & Ohio. Wanda is a free hand artist. She is able to duplicate images just by looking at the original picture, or she can take your idea's and create an image all your own. Wanda took art lessons at Our Lady of Providence Academy for 4 years in the early 70's and has been working full time ever since.
Bookings & Pricing:
For bookings call Wanda's office at 859-291-1689 to discuss the idea's you have for your project. Then a date will be set for Wayne & Wanda to come to the site, discuss the matter once again & begin the painting. Wanda charges by the hour. A tentative price will be discussed on the phone as to what type of budget you are working with, and how long she thinks it will take her to do the project. Any job can become very detailed, but detail is time consuming. Bottom line, the sky's the limit and you decide what you want to spend!
Holiday paintings:
If you are planning on having windows painted for the holidays, GET IN LINE QUICK!!! Our biggest seasons are Fall & Winter/Christmas. Along with our regular companies that we painted throughout the year.
All those once a year people come out to decorate too. Fall paintings usually start right after Labor Day...Sept. 2nd, then winter & Christmas scenes start right after Halloween, Nov. 1st.
These jobs usually last till about Dec. 12th.
The bookings for Winter & Christmas paintings usually start the middle of Sept. Sometimes months in advance!!! No other types of paintings are booked during this period. Don't miss your holiday booking!!!!
Holiday paintings are done on Window’s & Mirrrors:
A special water base acrylic paint is used for these types of jobs. Dries within 15 to 30 minutes with very, very little to no odor. Vivid bright colors, lasts for years. Dries to a flat finish, lacer can be applied as an over coat to enhance colors and make more durable. Able to wash with damp cloth.
Permanent painting:
These type of paintings are usually done on windows with company names or logo’s.
Truck lettering, Company signs, Billboards and signs that are going to be around for a
long time.
Quality paints and brushes are used to do these jobs.
Permanent paintings are done using a special paint that usually dries with in an hour and last for years inside or out. This particular paint comes in many bright colors. It is an oil base and does have a very heavy odor. Ventilation is necessary when using this product. Wait approximately one month before washing. This paint can not be used out side under 50 degree’s.
Temporary paintings:
This type of painting is recommended for any one wanting to do a short term advertisement or temporary seasonal decoration on their windows… 4 months or less.
A special water base acrylic paint is used for these jobs. The painting can be done inside or out. However, if the window is tinted, it is recommended to do the painting on the out side for better vision by the public. This paint usually dries in about 5 to 15 minutes and has no odor. Do not wash!!!! Also this paint can not be used out side under 50 degree's.
